At its heart, Bia Power develops and constructs ground-mounted solar farms.
Our solar projects will help to reduce carbon emissions, contribute towards meeting New York’s renewable energy targets and help meet the increased demand in electricity from transport (electric vehicles) and heating (as New York moves away from gas central heating).
Attractive investment
While New York isn’t blessed with clear blue skies 365 days a year, this is not a barrier to investment and development.
Developments in solar PV technology are giving rise to new opportunities for solar to be located across New York, often co-located with energy storage for optimum performance.
In recent years, with the advances in solar PV technology, we have seen an increase in the effectiveness of solar panels double, or even triple, their electrical output. Materials and development costs have also fallen significantly in the last several years. These factors make solar an attractive, long-term investment opportunity.

Solar PV is a success story and is a key part of New York’s strategy for low cost decarbonization of the energy sector.
Meeting New York’s ambitious decarbonization efforts will require extensive efforts across all sectors of the economy, from power, industry, transportation, and building efficiency. New York’s aggressive clean power targets will foster the decarbonization of other sectors, such as cars, heating, and manufacturing.
